The non-commercial partnership Ekaterin­burg Convention Bureau was established with the support of Ekaterinburg Adminis­tration in order to develope incoming business tourism in the city and also to promote Ekaterinburg on the meetings market as an international convention center.

Participants of Ekaterinburg Convention Bu­reau are the leading companies of Ekaterin­burg, representing the most important fields in business tourism: convention and exhibi­tion centers, professional conference organiz­ers, destination management companies, ho­tels and others.

Main objectives of the Ekaterinburg Conven­tion Bureau are following:

   Collaboration with meetings planners (both Russian and foreign) for the holding of events in Ekaterinburg: presenting essential information, ion of venues, partners and others. These services are provided on a free-of-charge basis.

   Investigation in the field of meetings in­dustry, forming of database concerning the development of the meetings industry in Ekaterinburg.

   Active marketing and promotion of Ekat­erinburg as a center for business tourism and convention-center: publishing in mass media, taking part in exhibitions, conferences, pre­sentations, organization of introductory visits for interested companies and more.

   Cooperation with international associa­tions in meetings market to develop the city-image and enlarge the database about mem­bers of the market.
